LGS, LLC is currently looking for a talented individual to fill its position of Scan System Specialist/BIM Design Engineer. The prospective candidate should fill some of these requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Scan Systems/BIM Design:
    • Responsible for BIM and AutoCAD standards development and implementation.
    • Obtain field data and utilize various software packages to produce 3D models specific to clients’ needs.
    • Create and organize plans, sections and details.
    • Create 3D models using 2D data.
    • Lead BIM process within a project.
    • Liaise with clients during all stages of a project.
    • Assist in the development and delivery of a BIM sales presentation.
    • Assist in the production of sales & marketing materials relative to BIM and laser scanning.
    • Help identify trends and business opportunities relating to BIM and make appropriate recommendations
    • Proposals/Cost estimating for BIM related projects.

EDUCATION, TRAINING OR CERTIFICATION:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Engineering, or other related field. Minimum 5 years experience in Surveying or Engineering field, and minimum 3 years of experience in BIM and 3D laser scanning.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Visual interpretation of survey base maps, architectural and engineering drawings and supporting documents.
  • Good understanding of surveying office and field procedures.
  • Proficiency in: MS Small Business Server, MS Office, the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Cyclone and BIM Modeling software.
  • Well-rounded understanding of MEP, structural and architectural concepts and standards, specifically as they relate to building information modeling.
  • Proficient in the use of a 3D laser scanner.
  • Ability to effectively train other employees on various software programs and 3D laser scanning instruments and the ability to direct employees in the use of the same.
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT issues.
  • Ability to update company website and assist in the production of marketing materials.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to traverse undeveloped tracts of land to make site inspections and evaluations. Must be able to climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds of weight and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and provide transportation, if required, to assigned job sites.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work hours necessary to complete work within required time frames with regard to deadlines. Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work with little supervision.
Must clear criminal and child abuse background checks for prevailing wage jobs. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make clear and concise presentations.

ELA Group, Inc. is looking to fill a Civil Engineer position in our State College Office: Applicant must have at least 8 years experience and professional registration (PE) and be team oriented, articulate and creative in their design skills. Applicant must have a well rounded knowledge of project management; subdivision and land development including stormwater management design; retaining wall design; and construction administration. Experience with surveying and traffic/transportation engineering and planning, a plus.
